Jaerens Joseph-Antoine-Albert - Lot 352
Jaerens Joseph-Antoine-Albert
Décente généalogique de l'ancienne et noble famille de Sandelin originaire de la province d'Artois transplantée en Hollande et de la aux Pays-Bas Autrichiens. Sans lieu ni imprimeur, Brussels, September 25, 1776.
1 volume in-folio, period binding in full porphyry calf, spine with mute ornamented nerves. Used rubbing, especially on corners and edges, binding in good condition. Superb genealogical manuscript written on vellum; 7 double-sided leaves in a beautiful, highly legible pen-and-ink script, large numbers of coats of arms
in color and gold for all branches of the de Sandelin family. Dry-printed coats-of-arms on small loose papers were added at the time, laminated, and a pen-and-ink signature was added next to them. In fine, the document is signed by J.A.A.Jaerens and dated 1776. At the bottom of the sixth folio, it states "Pour copie conforme à l'acte original". Very rare and superb manuscript.
