French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt, mid-twentieth century, bearing the original label "fait à Mirecourt par le Maître Luthier Amédée Dieudonné, en 1939 N° 127 A", after Joseph Guarnerius in violet ink, with iron marks and A.Dieudonné Fils Mirecourt spruce top with fine rings widening at the edges, two-piece maple back with well-marked medium waves, descending on either side of the joint, ribs of the same wood matching the back, lightly bichromated orange varnish, 355mm, excellent condition in an antique case.
