Very nice early 20th-century French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt by the Léon Mougenot Gauché workshops, bearing its original 1930 label. Spruce top with fine and medium irregular rings, one-piece back in very fine maple with small tight horizontal waves, sides in the same wood matching the back, fat orange-brown varnish, 358mm, excellent condition with a beewood study bow, in an antique case.
