Early 20th century French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt, from the JTL workshops, bearing the label BRETON BREVETE de S.M.G ... in Mirecourt 1831 and the iron mark at the foot of the neck, one-piece spruce top with fine to wide rings, two-piece maple back with beautiful small waves on almost horizontal mesh, sides of the same wood matching the back, gilded orange varnish, 362 mm, very good condition in a recent case with two Chinese bows, one of which is an ARTINO carbon bow, cushion and set of strings.
