French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt, mid-19th century, by CABASSE with iron mark inside on the back and on the ribs above the tailpiece knob, one-piece spruce top with very fine to medium rings, one-piece maple back with light horizontal waves, ribs with more pronounced waves, various detachments (including neck foot), traces of old worms poorly filled in and repairs to table fractures 355 mm, as is in an old wooden case.
