Probably French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt in the late 19th century, in the style of Nicolas Ainé, spruce top with very fine rings on the right and wider on the left, one-piece back in beautiful maple on mesh with small, well-marked waves, sides in the same wood, yellow-orange varnish, 361mm, two small fractures and various delaminations, fairly good condition in a recent case.
