Early 20th-century French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt, bearing the original Charles BAILLY workshop label N° 478 year 1913 with his signature in sepia ink and iron mark on the ribs at the tailpiece button. Spruce top with finer rings in the center and very wide on the edges, two-piece maple back with well-marked waves on mesh and slightly descending on either side of the joint, ribs of the same wood matching the back, orange-brown varnish, 361 mm, minor top detachment, very good condition, in an antique case with a German-made bow, beehive wood stick, imitation tortoiseshell galalith frog.
