DRAGEOIR in silver (950). PARIS, HARLEUX, ap. 1838 (Minerve). The base consists of a wide, gadrooned ring on four scrolled, foliate feet resting on a circular pedestal edged with rais de cœur and a square base encircled by foliate scrolls on four foliate claw feet. Six uprights with palmettes and baskets of flowers attached to an openwork entablature edged with a frieze of leaves frame the blue crystal body. The cuorved side handles with leafy scrolls end in stylized swan heads. The domed, plain lid is bordered by a pearled frieze and topped by a ring-shaped scroll and cluster grip on a flowery, amate terrace. The lid may have been attached (no goldsmith's mark identified).
